You ARE the Project!

After a long weekend of racing and talking so many amazing people it really made me reflect on a lot of the current culture within health and fitness community.

Are you lacking motivation? Do you find yourself always on the move from program to program or diet to diet? Always giving the reason of why it didn't work was the trainer or the program didn't work for you?

Maybe the real problem is that you are not really working for you and you are actually working against yourself...

I just recently had a client have a moment of clarity during a recent conversation. When talking about someone that used to come to the gym she said " you know people are there own worst enemy, the gym is not the problem they are the reason they are not happy or not getting results and blame it on the gym or trainer. It's not the gym or programs fault,If you just follow the program it works 100% of the time commitment is their problem." she made a comment that was very harsh but extremely true.

"stop sugar coating your mistakes and shortcomings with excuses and blaming someone else, just own the fact you failed."
As a coach that's what we want to hear because she gets it. Once you get it it's very clear what you have to do.

I want everyone to be successful but unfortunately everyone is at a different place in their health and fitness journey and some times they just are not ready yet.

If you are relying on someone else to make you better, relying on someone else to take every step for you, if you need someone else to motivate you every moment your journey, you have already lost the battle...

The problem is that in our current social society everyone wants to get "high 5s" and "your amazing" from everyone around them to justify just showing up.
Everyone has their own journey, some are weight loss and some are just general fitness and to challenge themselves to be a better stronger person.

The trend i see all to often is people working to just be average and staying within their own personal comfort zone. If that's what your goal is then that is great, but I have yet to talk to anyone that has ever told me that their goal was to be average!

The only path for personal and physical growth is an uncomfortable and difficult path but the rewards are Enormous!

It takes really turning yourself inside out and seeing what you are really made of. It's not just pushing through hard work but also with making really hard choices.
